BlackBerry 10 smartphones get price cut for BES10 users

BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10) customers will get BlackBerry 10 smartphones at special prices, the devices major said on Tuesday.

The price of BlackBerry Q10 smartphone will be Rs 39,990, BackBerry Z10 Rs 29,000 and BlackBerry Q5 Rs 22,699 to BES10 customers in India.

The limited period offer is only available to BlackBerry’s existing BES10 customers in India with a view to ensure that they are able to leverage BlackBerry 10 platform and smartphones for enterprise productivity.

The new prices are part of its on-going festive season promotions.

“The uptake of our BES10 offering as well as BlackBerry 10 based smartphones among Indian enterprises has been encouraging and we believe this offer will further enhance our reach in the enterprise mobility market,” said Sunil Lalvani, managing director India, BlackBerry.

The smartphone offer is valid till 30 October, 2013.

BlackBerry is currently in talks with a couple of tech firms to improve its sales through a divestment.
