The business will cover unified communications, contact center, video and networking solutions as a service.

Teske, who was most recently managing director for the ASEAN business at Avaya, will leverage Avaya’s global and APAC experience in deploying cloud-based solutions.

Lee Chong-Win is the new managing director, ASEAN for Avaya and will be responsible for continuing to drive growth. Lee will focus on the core countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam while growing Avaya’s business and presence in Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos.

Lee most recently led the Customer Experience Management business in APAC, focused on delivering contact center solutions.

Teske and Lee continue to be based in Bangkok and Singapore respectively.

The new appointments are part of the company’s plan to enhance focus on delivering cloud and hosted business models to Asia Pacific customer base, in support of service provider partners.

“Ray, with his extensive experience in driving businesses throughout the APAC geography is the ideal leader for this business. Win has similarly proved through a series of senior roles at both Nortel and Avaya that he has the vision and drive to lead the ASEAN business to new heights, with the close support and cooperation of our network of business partners across the region,” said François Lançon, president, Asia Pacific, Avaya.
