Anite testing solutions selected by BTRC

Anite awarded contract for multiple benchmarking solutions
Network testing solutions company Anite announced its deal with Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to provide measurement and analytics solutions.

Anite Network Testing will supply installation and commissioning of backpack, handheld, portable, and fixed QoS measurement and analytics tools for voice, data, and video services on 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, CDMA, and WiMAX networks.

The telecom regulator will measure a range of KPIs, such as call-drop rate, received call, MOS, call setup time, call success rates, and other QoS parameters.

BTRC will utilize Anite’s Nemo Walker and Nemo Invex II for in-building and outdoor measurements and benchmarking, and Nemo WindCatcher with multi-file-format (multi-vendor) support for network analysis and post-processing.

Siddharth Dash, sales director at Anite’s Network Testing Business, said: “Our suite of measurement products, combined with our state-of-the-art analytics solution with multi-vendor support, gives the Regulatory Commission the tools needed to ensure the Quality of Service of national wireless networks, regardless of the technology they use.”

Anite said that the Nemo Invex II, a mobile benchmarking, measurement, and optimization system combining intuitive software and scalable hardware, is designed to create a superior benchmarking solution for wireless broadband networks.

Nemo Walker is an Android-based indoor benchmarking system that enables extensive synchronized measurements for indoor and outdoor benchmarking and multi-technology measurements, said Anite in a statement issued on Tuesday.

Nemo WindCatcher, analytics solution for mobile networks with multi-vendor and multi-technology support, provides flexible in-depth analysis, reporting, and optimization based on features such as call trace, according to Anite.
