AirWatch signs up more than 400 education customers in K-12 and higher education institutions

Telecom Lead America: AirWatch, a provider of mobile device management (MDM), has signed up more than 400 global education customers in K-12 and higher education institutions.

“Our student-athletes are our main priority and we are committed to providing the latest, cutting edge technologies to facilitate their learning experiences,” said Tom Long, director of Football Information, Duke University.

John Marshall, CEO, AirWatch

“We needed a partner to deliver mobile learning that would ensure our mobile devices and the apps and content on those devices were secure and acting as assets, not burdens. AirWatch is that partner for us, and we’re very pleased with our choice,” Long added.

AirWatch’s dedicated education team ensures that academic institutions’ specific needs are being met quickly and with the highest level of expertise.

AirWatch claims that it is critical for educators to control their mobile environment and ensure they are compliant with CIPA and COPPA regulations. With AirWatch in place, the mobility management process is simplified across the entire fleet.

“Currently, we’re hosting 700 devices on the AirWatch console and are evaluating the benefits it offers for a university wide deployment to all staff and students,” said John Shemilt, ICT Director, Imperial College of London. “AirWatch makes the setup and central management of our devices much simpler, and ensures the security of the devices.”

“No other company is excelling like we are in cultivating a field of experts in education. IT administrators and teachers view AirWatch as a trusted ally to monitor device activity, protect students from harmful content, and promote educational learning through technology,” said John Marshall, CEO, AirWatch.
