Aerohive enterprise Wi-Fi solution selected by Greenway Medical

Aerohive Networks, a provider of controller-less Wi-Fi
and cloud-enabled networking solutions, announced that Greenway Medical
Technologies, a provider of electronic health record (EHR) business solutions,
has implemented an Aerohive enterprise Wi-Fi solution.

Greenway has replaced its Cisco APs with Aerohive’s
HiveAP 120 APs across four corporate campus locations, with a goal of
eliminating network downtime while reducing the amount of time it takes to
manage its WLAN.

In keeping with its cloud-initiative, Greenway is
managing its network using Aerohive’s Cloud Services Platform — HiveManager
Online.

HiveManager Online is designed to make it cost-effective
to start small and grow a network with no upfront capital costs beyond the
access points.

“We have historically standardized on Cisco for
virtually all of our network components, but the ease-of-management and the
ability to securely and easily manage those APs provided by Aerohive was such a
game changer, the Aerohive HiveManager Online solution was the obvious answer
to meet our Wi-Fi cloud-enabled wireless infrastructure needs,” said Ty
Puckett, director of Information Technology, Greenway Medical Technologies,
Inc.

Greenway is also utilizing Aerohive’s mesh networking
capability for AP redundancy and a Greenway corporate campus expansion that’s
currently underway will make use of weather-proof Aerohive APs to extend the
wireless network to a relaxing courtyard seating area.

This will provide employees and visitors with
‘WiFi-enabled outdoor dining’ capabilities from their laptops and iPads.
