AdaptiveMobile appoints new general manager for the Americas

Telecom Lead U.S: AdaptiveMobile, a provider of mobile
security announced that former Nokia Siemens and Oracle executive Cody Bowman
has joined the company as the General Manager for the Americas.

In this role, Bowman will watch over the company’s
exponential growth in the region, including rapid customer and partner
expansion.

We are very excited to have Cody Bowman join our
executive management team, given his success at some of the biggest IT and
telecommunications companies in the world. The Americas continues to be a
primary focus for AdaptiveMobile, and under Cody’s leadership we have the
management experience and expertise to drive significant expansion,” said Brian
Collins, CEO, AdaptiveMobile.

Cody Bowman joins AdaptiveMobile at a time of rapid
increases in smartphone usage by consumers and businesses in North and South
America.

In the Americas,  the trend of employees using
their personal mobile devices at work, BYOD,” has increased the level and
types of threats across the operator and corporate networks.

Simultaneously, the move toward 4G networks and
subscriber demand for more data will increase vulnerabilities and risks
associated with the IMS infrastructure and the IP nature of the network, which
makes it a natural area for hackers and cybercriminals.

Prior to joining AdaptiveMobile, Cody Bowman was a senior
vice president for the Business Solutions Organization division at Nokia
Siemens Networks. Before that, Bowman was an Executive Director at Oracle.

Earlier, AdaptiveMobile
announced that it completed a mobile content filtering, anti-spam and
anti-virus protection project with MTN Nigeria.

Utilizing the AdaptiveMobile security solution, the
African operator protects its network and subscribers from undesired mobile
content through mobile handsets and mobile data-enabled PCs.
