Vodafone invests in 3G network in Uttar Pradesh West

Telecom network operator Vodafone India has started making investment in its own 3G network in Uttar Pradesh West and Uttarakhand circles.

Vodafone has already deployed over 1500+ cell sites across Uttar Pradesh West and Uttarakhand. It will step up investment in 3G networks to expand by February 2016.

The Indian subsidiary of Vodafone plc of UK has 11.2 million customers in Uttar Pradesh West. 30 percent of its mobile customers in Uttar Pradesh West are data users.

“We have made significant investments of over Rs 400 crore towards network expansion and upgradation in Uttar Pradesh West in 2015,” said Dipankar Ghoshal, business head – Uttar Pradesh West Circle, Vodafone India.
