Indian telecom network operator Bharti Airtel has launched its 3G network in Odisha.
In addition to faster internet speeds and better voice clarity, Bharti Airtel said its Platinum 3G will help optimize the backend engagement between the network and mobile devices, thus allowing customers to enjoy extended battery life on their smartphones.
“The launch of Platinum 3G is an integral part of this commitment and will deliver enhanced voice as well as data connectivity,” said Ravindra Singh Negi, CEO – West Bengal & Odisha, Bharti Airtel.
Bharti Airtel said its 3G services are available across 27 towns in Odisha. The telecoms will expand the 3G network in the state.
Incidentally, Airtel introduced 4G services in Odisha in July 2015. Airtel is offering 4G at 3G prices in more than 300 markets. It is not known whether the availability of 4G at 3G prices will impact its 3G business or not.
