SATCON, an annual conference dedicated
to helping attendees develop strategies to manage communications infrastructure
including video, data, voice and Internet, using satellite, fiber, mobile and
wireless, has announced its 2011 conference schedule, from October 12 in New
york.
The highlight of the event is A Conversation with Mark
Dankberg and Pradman Kaul about Next Generation Satellites. These experts will
discuss trends, challenges and the future of satellite technology and its role
in communications.
Mark Dankberg, chairman and CEO, ViaSat, and Pradman P.
Kaul, CEO, Hughes Communications, will be interviewed by Susan Irwin,
president, Euroconsult USA.
Michael J. Basla, vice commander, Air Force Space
Command, USAF, will give a government and military-focused keynote presentation
on the second day of the conference where he will discuss recent satellite
technology developments and solutions for the government and share his
experiences in overseeing Air Force network operations and managing a global
network of satellite command and control.
In addition, SATCON’s session line-up will include
opportunities for conference attendees to hear directly from industry experts
sharing their insights and knowledge about business and operational challenges
for satellite access systems.
