Altair to power NTMore LTE devices

Telecom Lead @ Mobile World Congress 2013: NTMore, a provider of LTE devices, has selected Altair Semiconductor’ FourGee-3100/6202 chipset to power its Intelligent Mobile Hotspot device (NTLR-100).

Its LTE mobile hotspot device can securely connect several Wi-Fi devices simultaneously, boasts 100 Mbps DL and 50 Mbps UL speeds, one-touch Internet connectivity, an advanced internal antenna system and USB data tethering functionality.

“The combination of a low-power, high-performance and mature solution presented by Altair’s chipset made Altair a natural choice to be our strategic chipset provider,” said Brian Suh, vice president of R&D of NTMore.

Eran Eshed, Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing of Altair, said: “With the introduction of this product to the market, LTE operators now have an additional, high performance  single mode LTE device to help differentiate their product offering.”

Eran says that as the ‘Internet of Things’ becomes more prevalent in our everyday lives, innovative devices such as the NTMore mobile hotspot will play an increasingly important role for consumers around the world.

Altair-based products are currently powering more than 50 consumer devices in numerous carrier networks around the world, including in America, Europe, Japan, China and India.
