LTE India 2012 be held in New Delhi

Telecom Lead India: Bharat Exhibitions has announced
that it is organizing the 3rd edition of India’s only focused conference
on LTE (Long Term Evolution) which is scheduled on 11th May 2012 at
Le-Meridien, New Delhi.

The event is being supported by 3GPP, Cellular
Operators Association of India (COAI), Ministry of Communications & IT,
Govt. of India (Department of Telecommunications & Department of IT).

The eyes of the telecommunications community are on India,
as a fast developing telecoms market and also as a high-tech motor for future
network evolution. The LTE India 2012 conference will rightly focus on feedback
from some of the LTE networks across the globe, but I know that the organizers
and the 3GPP community are looking for a real exchange of views on the way
forward and the role that LTE has to play in India,” said  Adrian Scrase,
head of 3GPP Mobile Competence Centre.

The conference will provide an update on the mobile
broadband, current capabilities, the eco-system, drivers and directions for
future evolution to the next generation/LTE and beyond.

The conference gives delegates the opportunity to
study in-depth the drivers for deploying LTE, and to consider whether, when and
how they will deploy it in their own networks. Presentations and interactive
discussion sessions will enable them to understand the differences between LTE
and other technologies and to consider whether LTE is the right evolution path for their network,”
said Shashi Dharan, managing director, Bharat Exhibitions.

Global majors engaged in wireless  broadband technology
such as ZTE, Radisys, PointRed Telecom, Altair Semiconductor, JDSU, Rohde &
Schwarz, Alcatel-Lucent, Aricent, Commscope, ip.access, Agilent Technologies,
