Comverse signs deals with T-2 and Hutchison Telecom Lanka at MWC 2013

Telecom Lead @ Mobile World Congress 2013: Comverse has signed two deals at MWC 2013.

T-2, a provider of alternative telecommunications services in Slovenia, has decided to increase its Comverse converged IP communication services in the residential and enterprise markets.

Comverse is providing T-2 with IP-based voice and video solutions that enable it to deliver special wireline services, such as MyCall VoIP communications for consumers.

For commercial markets, Converged IP Centrex, a virtual PBX hosted in the network provides attractive feature-rich cost-effective VoIP PBX services for enterprises. With this upgrade, T-2 expands its capacity and gains advanced new features and a greater degree of fixed-mobile convergence to accommodate growing business needs.

Saso Todorovic, CEO at T-2, said: “Comverse Netcentrex VoIP PBX services are a real differentiator, enabling us to provide governmental organizations and enterprises of all sizes throughout the country with top performance, highly desired services, plus significant savings.”

Meanwhile, Hutchison Telecom Lanka has also selected the Comverse Mobile Internet Data Management and Monetization (DMM) solution with the DMM Policy Studio to upgrade its mobile broadband capabilities in light of the region’s growing data traffic.

Thirukumar Nadarasa, CEO at Hutchison Telecom Lanka, said: “The marketing-friendly policy creation environment of the DMM Policy Studio is a game changer for us — a key tool we sought to enable us to be first to market with creative, cost-effective data service innovations.”

“The Comverse Data Management and Monetization solution with the Policy Studio is the right choice for leading operators like Hutchison Telecom Lanka to gain the agility needed to handle and monetize the massive data traffic growth anticipated now and in the future with LTE and M2M scenarios,” said Jacques-Herve Maupin, senior vice president, managing director, Asia Pacific, of Comverse.
