SeaChange International, a multi-screen video software vendor, has appointed Shiva Patibanda as chief technology officer.
Patibanda will direct the company’s technology strategy and contribute to its overall strategic growth initiatives, while continuing to lead the In-Home business.
Currently, Patibanda leads SeaChange’s Silicon Valley-based In-Home business that is responsible for the creation and delivery of the SeaChange Nucleus video gateway software.
He founded VividLogic in 1999, a producer of embedded software for television set-top boxes and other consumer electronics, which was acquired by SeaChange in 2010 and provided the foundation for the In-Home business.
Patibanda has served as chairman of the Home Audio Video Interoperability consortium and also served on the board of the IEEE 1394 Trade Association.
