Eutelsat wins new contract from StarGroup for DTH

StarGroup, a leading telecoms and entertainment service provider in Mexico, has selected Eutelsat Communications for StarTV, its Direct-to-Home (DTH) pay-TV service.
Eutelsat HQYears back, StarTV in partnership with Eutelsat switched to satellite technology to offer affordable services to even the most remote areas of the country. The platform has 250,000 subscribers in 2020. Today, the StarTV platform offers over 100 TV channels, in SD and HD quality in Mexico.

Under this multi-year agreement announced today, additional Ku-band transponders on EUTELSAT 117 West B will be used to further develop StarTV’s DTH services.
