DISH is utilizing TiVo’s metadata, such as program information and image-based content, across its product platforms, including linear TV, video on demand (VOD) and DVR to meet customer demand for visually-rich entertainment experience and quickly identify and access content.

“We were able to integrate their enhanced metadata offerings and provide a cohesive and seamless entertainment experience across our product platforms,” said Niraj Desai, vice president of product management, DISH Network.

TiVo claims that it completed the metadata migration process in less than 5 months, and minimized negative impact across DISH’s entertainment ecosystem during the deployment process.

The US-based DISH Network has 13.643 million pay-TV subscribers, as of September 30, 2016.
