Comcast announces three promotions

Comcast, a media and technology company with two businesses — Comcast Cable and NBCUniversal – today announced three promotions.

These three resources include Arthur R Block, Lawrence Salva and D’Arcy F Rudnay (in pix).

The U.S.-based Comcast has promoted Arthur R Block to executive vice president (EVP), general counsel and secretary. Art previously served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Comcast.

During his 26 years with the company, he has served as the lead in-house attorney for Comcast’s mergers, acquisitions and financings, including acquisitions like AT&T Broadband and NBCUniversal.

Comcast also promoted Lawrence Salva to EVP, chief accounting officer and controller. Larry previously served as senior vice president, chief accounting officer and controller.

D'Arcy F. Rudnay, EVP and chief communications officer, Comcast

Comcast also announced that D’Arcy F Rudnay, its chief communications officer, will be promoted from senior vice president to EVP. D’Arcy is the first woman in the company’s history to become a corporate executive vice president. D’Arcy will report jointly to Brian L. Roberts, chairman and CEO, and David L. Cohen, executive vice president of Comcast.

As chief communications officer of Comcast, D’Arcy serves as communications counsel to the executive team and leads the management of the company’s brand, reputation and strategic and financial communications to external audiences and to the company’s 139,000 employees.
