UTStarcom appoints Aanand Bankar as GM – Sales

Telecom infrastructure vendor UTStarcom has appointed Aanand Bankar as general manager – Sales, Mumbai to look after its business in the west region.

The company is expanding its footprints in India and hiring industry experts across different levels to increase its market share in the fastest growing telecom sector in India.

Before joining UTStarcom, Aanand Bankar served as the head – Key Account management (India & SAARC), ECI Telecom, Mumbai. At ECI Telecom, he managed a team of pre sales managers, leading commercial negotiations, conflict resolution with customers and new account acquisition.

William Wong, chief executive officer of UTStarcom, said: “With the recent budget and government initiatives like Make in India, Digital India, NOFN, Wi-Fi deployment, we would like to expand our market reach in India.”
