TIM Brasil and ZTE to set up broadband innovation center in Brazil

Telecom network vendor ZTE in association with TIM Brasil will set up a laboratory / innovation center in Brazil focusing on broadband technologies.

They will focus on research in broadband technologies including XG-PON (passive optical network), NG-PON2 and G.Fast.

ZTE will supply broadband equipments to TIM Brasil in the next three years, as per a deal announced today.

Since 2012, ZTE has been deploying broadband network for TIM Brasil in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo states.
