Ooredoo names Yousuf Abdulla Al Kubaisi as CEO of wholesale arm Ooredoo Global Services

Ooredoo has appointed Yousuf Abdulla Al Kubaisi as the chief executive officer of Ooredoo Global Services (OGS), the group’s wholesale arm.

OGS, which is participating in this year’s International Telecoms Week (ITW), which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Chicago from 11 to 14 May 2014, now offers a single point of contact for wholesale carriers to access the company’s 18 operating companies.

Ooredoo Global Services represents one of the largest Internet peering networks in the Middle East that is interconnected with more than 100 operators.

Kubaisi previously served as Ooredoo Qatar’s Chief Wholesale and International Officer since 2012, said Ooredoo.

Ooredoo reported revenues of $9.3 billion in 2013 and had a consolidated global customer base of more than 95 million people as of 31 December 2013.
