Huawei service chain virtualization innovation solution participated in EANTC NFV test

Telecom equipment vendor Huawei on Friday said its service chain virtualization innovation solution participated in the first EANTC Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) test.

The first public multi-vendor test of Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) test — in compliance with the ETSI NFV ISG framework standard — was carried out by European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC).

In the test lab of EANTC, through five days testing, Service Chain passed all test cases related to Service chain programming, NFV portability, NFV resilience, NFV pooling and Service Chain policy.

SoftCOM is the future end-to-end ICT network architecture of Huawei, which is based on cloud computing, SDN, NFV and open network theory, is used to assist telecom operators to face to the new challenges and opportunities in ICT convergence and to create new value opportunity continuously.

Service Chain technology is used to direct the service packets through a sequence of multiple service nodes, which is the key technology to support virtualization and programming. Using service chain can build virtual network and service network. The service chain has gained major attention of the industry and investment in researching & development.
