SK Telecom appoints Park Jung-ho as CEO

SK Telecom today announced the appointment of Park Jung-ho as president and chief executive officer (CEO).

Park Jung-ho replaces Jang Dong-hyun. Park Jung-ho is currently the CEO of SK Holdings. He joined Sunkyong Group, which is now SK Holgings, in 1989. Park Jung-ho has served various key positions within the SK Group.

From 2009 to 2013, Park Jung-ho he served as head of Business Development Division of SK Telecom and later also played an integral role in SK Telecom’s acquisition of Hynix. In January 2015, he took the CEO position at SK Holdings C&C.

Under the leadership of Park Jung-ho, SK Telecom aims to achieve growth and innovation through a new level of ICT convergence by combining mobile telecommunications, the Internet of Things, media, platform and semiconductor. Park Jung-ho will also focus on ICT.

SK Telecom has more than 29.45 million mobile subscribers, including 20.55 million LTE and LTE-Advanced subscribers.
