Reliance Communications has added 5 lakh 3G customers during the first quarter of fiscal 2016.
Reliance has grabbed 35.4 million data customers, which includes 17.9 million 3G customers, during the quarter, compared to 17.4 million 3G customers in Q4 in fiscal 2015.
The company has reported Rs 4,791 crore revenue from India telecom operations for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, a 3.4 percent rise Y-o-Y.
Total revenue for the company stands at Rs 5,541crore, a slight increase of 0.3 percent Y-o-Y.
Global operations revenue for the June quarter is Rs. 1,117 crore, up by 4.1 percent from Rs. 1,073 crore in Q1 previous year. Q1 EBITDA at Rs. 180 crore, up 6.0% from Rs. 170 crore in Q1 previous year.
Net Profit stands at Rs. 177 crore, up 34 percent from Rs. 132 crore in Q1 previous year.
At 92.8 billion MB, total data traffic increased by 68 percent Y-o-Y. Data traffic for the last quarter stood at 87,211 million MB.
The company also announced a landmark achievement, the highest data usage per subscriber in the industry at 895 MB, up 34 percent Y-oY.
Total MoU stands at 105 billion, up 1.8 percent Y-o-Y. ARPU has increased by nearly 3 percent to Rs 140.
Since DoT has not allotted earmarked spectrum to Reliance; and hence, balance of deferred payment liability of 3,187 crore has been considered as part of capital commitments, the company said in its financial results.
