America Movil, which has a strong presence in the telecom markets in the Latin America, has revealed its achievements during the second-quarter of 2024.
America Movil has 313.995 million mobile phone customers on its telecom network.

America Movil has incurred 56.2 billion pesos in capital expenditures (Capex) during the six months to June, 2024.
5G subscribers
America Movil has revealed that Telcel Mexico has 12.8 million 5G subscribers and Claro Brazil has 10 million 5G customers at the end of June 2024.
Claro Colombia launched 5G network in the first quarter of the year. Claro Colombia also conducted a major overhaul of its 4G network that contributed to revenue growth.
America Movil added 2.4 million subscribers in the second quarter including 1.8 million postpaid connections, with Brazil contributing 907 thousand, Colombia 183 thousand and Mexico 99 thousand.
America Movil’s prepaid business added 599 thousand customers, with Colombia gaining 261 thousand subscribers, followed by Argentina with 191 thousand.
America Movil has added 376 thousand broadband accesses, including 148 thousand in Mexico and approximately 63 thousand each in Argentina and Brazil. Voice lines and PayTV units registered losses in the period, and were down 63 thousand and 56 thousand, respectively.
America Movil’s second-quarter revenue rose 1.5 percent to 206 billion pesos.
America Movil’s mobile service revenue growth accelerated to 5.1 percent from 4.9 percent the prior quarter on the back of stronger postpaid revenue growth of 6.2 percent.
