SK Telecom LTE subscribers reach 12.27 million in third quarter

SK Telecom LTE subscribers reached 12.27 million in the third quarter of 2013.

The telecom operator’s 4G LTE users now account for over 45 percent of the company’s total mobile subscriber base.

The company does not share LTE specific revenue figures.

Meanwhile, SK Telecom said it reported third quarter revenue of KRW 4.125 trillion (up 0.2 percent q-o-q), operating income of KRW 551.4 billion (up 1.1 percent) and net income of KRW 502.2 billion (up 7.4 percent).

Increase in ARPU and focus on enterprise business contributed to the revenue growth.

ARPU rose 2.6 percent to KRW 34,909. LTE users were one of the contributors for ARPU increase.
