LTE / LTE-Advanced subscribers boost SK Telecom revenue

SK Telecom today said its second quarter revenue increased 4.6 percent to KRW 4.305 trillion, while net income rose 6.4 percent to KRW 497.6 billion.

Main growth drivers were increase in the LTE / LTE-Advanced subscribers and strong performance in its enterprise solution business.

SK Telecom LTE/LTE-Advanced subscribers reached 15.38 million, exceeding 55 percent of its mobile subscriber base.

The enterprise solution revenue in the second quarter jumped 23 percent to KRW 130.9 billion.

SK Telecom said it commercialized 225Mbps LTE-Advanced for the first time in the world and presented an ICT-based economic blue print.

Meanwhile, SK Telecom will bring new data products and services.

The company also plans to further develop 5G technologies and give final shape to its new IoT-based solutions.
