Reliance Jio has posted 26.6 percent increase in revenue to Rs 14,835 crore during the March quarter of 2020.
Reliance Jio had a gross addition of 24 million and net addition of 17.5 million 4G subscribers to its network with churn reaching less than 1 percent.
Reliance Jio has 387.5 million mobile phone customers on its 4G network. Jio added 126.4 million subscribers during the previous twelve months with simple tariff plans offering value to all customers.
Reliance Jio reported ARPU of Rs 130.6 per subscriber per month during the quarter. Total wireless data traffic during the quarter was 1,284 crore GB, showing 34.3 percent growth. Total voice traffic touched 87,634 crore minutes, registering an increase of 21 percent during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2019-20.
Social media network Facebook will pick up 9.99 percent stake in Jio Platforms to infuse Rs 43,574 crore.
Jio Platforms will launch a nationwide video platform called Jiomeet.
Reliance Jio said it cut heavy voice users during Q3. As a result, it achieved churn rate of 0.57 percent in Q4.
Jio continues to be a net recipient of access charges with outgoing traffic mix within the overall offnet traffic now stable at 48-49 percent.
Average data consumption per user per month reached 11.3 GB and average voice consumption of 771 minutes per user per month, Reliance Jio said.
Jio said the process of converting FTTH broadband test users to paid-plans and ramping up sales across 1,600 cities is underway. Average FTTH broadband usage across the user base is multi-fold of current industry benchmarks.
Jio’s Enterprise business has signed business customers over the past few months and is in the process of offering connectivity services using its fibre backbone and access to Microsoft plans.
