Airtel 4G leads in Jodhpur in TRAI drive test ahead of Jio

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has conducted a test drive in Jodhpur to assess the quality of voice and data network.

TRAI said all telecom operators have met the drop call rate (DCR) benchmark of 2 percent and call set up success rate (CSSR) of 95 percent in Jodhpur city and adjoining areas in August 2017.

TRAI said the drive test covered 640 kms and 6 hotspots over a period of five days to understand the quality of voice and data networks. 750 calls were made for each of the 16 networks: seven 2G networks, six 3G networks, two CDMA and one 4G network covering 9 unique mobile operators in the Jodhpur city.
Data speed in JodhpurThe above chart — prepared by TRAI — indicates that Airtel is the leading telecom operator in Jodhpur, one of the key cities in Rajasthan, in terms of 4G networks. Airtel 4G customers are getting 7.5 Mbps download speed against 7.1 Mbps offered by Reliance Jio.

Vodafone has the best upload speed.
Voice quality in JodhpurThe above chart shows the voice call quality of top mobile operators in Jodhpur. Airtel has 0.70 percent call drops on 2G network and 0.40 percent on 3G network against 0.30 percent with Reliance Jio on VoLTE.
Phone coverage in Jodhpur
The chart shows the phone coverage in Jodhpur. BSNL’s 2G network has 90 percent coverage. Airtel 2G network has 87 percent coverage. Vodafone 3G has 91 percent coverage. Airtel 3G has 80 percent coverage. TRAI said Reliance Jio VoLTE has 61 percent coverage.
