Wataniya Telecom launches special promotion to celebrate Independence Day of Bangladesh

Telecom Lead Asia: To celebrate Bangladesh’s 41st
Independence Day, Kuwait’s telecom operator Wataniya Telecom has announced a
special promotion, which includes 50 percent off on SMS sent to the People’s
Republic of Bangladesh on Monday, March 26, 2012.

The offer is allowing Bangladesh people residing in
Kuwait to greet and congratulate family and friends on this happy day.

As a local telecom operator, we feel honored to
celebrate and appreciate people with different backgrounds and nationalities
and thus we take any opportunity that comes up to reflect on what we believe
in. I wish all Bangladeshi people happy celebrations and hope they enjoy our
promotion on their special day,” said Abdolaziz Al Balool, public relation
director at Wataniya Telecom.

The 50 percent discount on SMS will be valid for 24 hours
Monday, March 26, 2012. Wataniya has offered similar promotions to citizens of
other countries living in Kuwait such as the USA, Egypt, Jordan, India, and the
Philippines. This helps the expatriate community feel close to their home
country even when they are far away.

The operator said that it hopes that the offers tailored
especially for them will add value to their communication and bring them closer
to their friends and families.

Wataniya aims to continue exploring different ways of
staying closer to the different cultures and communities in Kuwait by providing
them with the best and most innovative services and products,” according to an
official release.

Recently, Wataniya
Maldives selected network roaming solution of CommProve, a provider of network
monitoring and business solutions for mobile networks, to ensure better roaming
service to mobile users.

CommProve’s Roamer Insight software is now deployed
across Wataniya’s network to enable quality of service monitoring and proactive
network troubleshooting.
