Vodafone offers 10 minute free talk time on call drop

Telecom network operator Vodafone is offering 10 minutes of free talk time to all customers who face call drops for any reason.

Mobile customers of Vodafone need to sms BETTER on 199 to get the free talk time. Vodafone will credit free talk time of 10 minutes within 30-minutes to their number.

“At times, conversations do get interrupted. To continue such conversations, we are offering 10-minute talk time benefit, no questions asked,” said Sandeep Kataria, director – Consumer, Vodafone India.

Free minutes from Vodafone will be valid till next day midnight for prepaid customers. Free minutes will be valid till the end of the billing cycle for postpaid customers.

The free talk time credit can be availed once during the month long bonanza and is applicable only when calling from your Vodafone connection to another Vodafone number within the same telecom circle.

Airtel on call drops

Bharti Airtel – in May 2016 — announced a 25 percent more stringent voluntary benchmark of 1.5 percent for mobile call drops versus the current TRAI prescribed norm of 2 percent under the Quality of Service regulations.

Based on the calculation of the call drop rate during network busy hour on a monthly average, any amount calculated for exceeding the 1.5 percent voluntary benchmark, subject to a maximum of INR 100 crore per annum, will be contributed by Bharti Airtel towards the education of underprivileged children in rural areas.
