Vodafone Idea today announced that there will be no special charges for sending SMS on December 31, 2018 and all other such special days in 2019.
Vodafone Idea made the announcement at a time when all Indian telecom operators faced drop in SMS business revenue due to the popularity of Facebook-owned messaging platform WhatsApp.
Vodafone Idea’s 422 million customers will be able to send SMS, as per their packs, on all 365 days a year.
Vodafone Idea offers multiple SMS packs starting at Rs 12 giving discounted SMS rates.
