Virgin Mobile USA reveals no-contract data sharing plans on select smartphones

American wireless carrier Virgin Mobile USA has revealed its no-contract data sharing plans on select smartphones.

Beginning Saturday, Jan. 17, the new plans are available exclusively at retail chain Walmart.

The price for 4GB data on 3G / 4G LTE network and unlimited talk and text will be $65/month (2 lines), 8GB data at $90/month (3 lines), 12GB for $115/month (4 lines).

The price for unlimited (2.5GB high-speed data), unlimited text and 300 minutes of talk will be $35 per month (single line), while unlimited (2.5GB high-speed data) unlimited text and talk will be $35 per month.

The new plans are available on four 4G LTE smartphones, which come with Virgin Mobile data-sharing application that provides data buy-ups and international add-ons with one touch, directly from the device.

Virgin Mobile data sharing plans will now be available on updated smartphone editions of the HTC Desire 510 (for a price of $99.88), LG Tribute ($79.88), LG Volt ($149.88) and the latest Samsung Galaxy Core Prime ($129.88).

Virgin Mobile USA is offering every multi-line plan with a free Mobile Hotspot feature that will enable users to share data across Wi-Fi enabled devices easily.

Virgin Mobile said there will be no additional monthly line fees. The price of one-touch data buy-up options will be $10 per month for 1GB.

Users can use unlimited data to access social media and music streaming apps without data charges, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pandora for $5 per month.

Virgin Mobile users need a $20 starter kit to activate each new line of service and include two months of unlimited music streaming without counting against the customer’s data allotment.
