Verscom Solutions provides pre-paid calling solution for Econet U.K

Telecom Lead U.K: Verscom Solutions, a provider of next-generation communications and IP services for wireline and wireless carriers, has been selected by Econet to provide pre-paid calling card solution for the U.K market.

Econet provides telecommunications services and solutions in mobile and fixed wireless telephony, Internet access, mobile money transfer and payment solutions. The company selected Verscom Solutions’ SIPhive for their Prepaid Calling Card platform.

Verscom’s SIPhive Calling Card Service provides a comprehensive calling card service over a voice over IP (VoIP) network. The system provides everything necessary to set up and operate a calling card service—from the call flow/prompts to web-based applications that configure and manage the system over the Internet.

Verscom’s Calling Card solution enables the delivery of next generation, feature-rich calling card service that can be rapidly deployed network wide through SIP-enabled media gateways or VoIP networks. Based on a pure IP implementation, the solution offers significant advantages over legacy, TDM-based calling card approaches.

“In order for us to succeed in the competitive UK market, we needed an uninterrupted and high quality service for the prepaid calling card business model,” said Marco Signorini, CEO of Econet. “We chose Verscom Solutions’ professional engineering team and market-proven pre-paid calling card solution hosted by SIPhive, which enabled us to adapt our backend business infrastructure to the UK market.”

“Cooperating with Econet is a phenomenal opportunity for mutual growth,” said Mehmet Balos, CEO of Verscom Solutions. “Powered by a best-of-breed service delivery platform, our SIPhive Calling Card Service enables Econet to offer pre-paid calling card services that leverage the full power of IP-based, next generation networks.”
