Telecom Italia (TIM) said it would start formal talks with KKR to assess the U.S. fund’s potential 10.8 billion euro ($11.8 billion) offer for Italy’s mobile network operator, almost four months after the approach.
TIM Chairman and CEO Salvatore Rossi will guide the company in assessing the takeover attempts by KKR.
