Telia Welcomes Eric Hageman as New Chief Financial Officer

Telia Company has announced a significant addition to its leadership team with the appointment of Eric Hageman as the Executive Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer, effective from September 15, 2023. Hageman’s appointment follows the impending departure of Per Christian Morland, who is set to leave Telia at the end of September.

He has held senior executive positions at Royal KPN NV, where he served as Group CFO and CEO of KPN Belgium (Base). His expertise extends to Group CFO roles at TelecityGroup Plc, IWG Plc, and William Hill. Hageman commenced his career in London, where he was involved in M&A and Corporate Finance at prestigious institutions such as Deutsche Bank and ABN Amro.

Eric Hageman holds an MBA from London Business School and an MSc in Business Economics from Maastricht University. His diverse educational background and extensive industry experience position him as a formidable addition to Telia Company’s leadership team.

Allison Kirkby, President and CEO of Telia Company, expressed her enthusiasm for Hageman’s appointment, highlighting his extensive financial expertise and track record of leadership during transformative periods. She noted that his skills align perfectly with the company’s strategic direction and mission to enhance Telia’s offerings for all stakeholders.

Eric Hageman is set to assume his role as Group Chief Financial Officer on September 15, after formally joining Telia Company in early September. In light of this appointment, Tim Pennington, who had taken on the role of interim CFO, will transition to an advisory capacity within the company.
