Telenor selects Verizon Global Wholesale to serve Norwegian-based multinational enterprises

By Telecom Lead Team: Mobile major Telenor is partnering
with Verizon Global Wholesale to give Telenor’s Nordic customers seamless
access to a global network.

Telenor will be able to resell Verizon Global Wholesale’s
international Private IP as part of Telenor’s customer solution portfolio.

Telenor customers will have a single point of contact for
their global communications needs, and seamless and secure access from
Telenor’s existing Nordic Connect wide area network to the rest of the globe.

“This collaboration with Telenor is a great example
of how Verizon is helping its wholesale customers expand their global reach and
gain control over capital expenses while maximizing their capabilities,”
said Mike Millegan, president of Verizon Global Wholesale.

In addition, by linking into Verizon’s multiprotocol
label switching (MPLS) network, which provides high capacity and reliability,
Telenor will also be able to offer its customers enhanced communications
services on a global scale.

“We were looking for a partner with the reach and
capabilities to help us expand the services we offer to our customers. In
Verizon, we have found a team that really understands our needs and can make a
great difference to our business,” said Bjorn Ivar Moen, vice president
product & business development, Telenor Norway.

The Telenor Group has 133 million mobile subscriptions.
