Telecom Lead India: Out of 12 mobile service providers, 5 posted decline in their gross revenue in the third quarter of fiscal 2013 as compared with the previous quarter, according to TRAI data released recently.
TRAI data says Airtel’s adjusted gross revenue decreased 2.32 percent to Rs 7871 crore in Q3 FY 2013 from Q2 FY 2013.
The other operators’ financial performance is the following: Vodafone posted Rs 5,767 crore (+2.93 percent); Idea Cellular at Rs 3,888 crore (+4.05 percent); BSNL at Rs 2,930 crore (-10.38 percent); Tata at Rs 2,294 crore (+0.15 percent); Reliance Communications at Rs 1,835 crore (-7.16 percent); Aircel at Rs 1,329 crore (+5.72 percent); Uninor at Rs 500 crore (-7.31 percent); MTNL at Rs 577 crore (+2.9 percent); MTS India at Rs 301 crore (-9.9 percent); Loop at Rs 128 crore (+0.79 percent) and Quadrant at Rs 34 crore (+66.47 percent).
TRAI says access services contributed 75.19 percent of the total revenue of telecom services.
In Access services gross revenue and pass through increased by 0.22 percent and 3.40 percent respectively, whereas AGR, License Fee and Spectrum Charges decreased by 1.15 percent, 1.22 percent and 0.51 percent, respectively during the quarter.
