Telecom service provider Tele2 on Tuesday said it has completed the mobile network modernization in Baltic countries with a Capex investment of EUR 50 million.
The project was completed in phases.
Tele2 – in association with Nokia Networks — completed the modernization of the mobile network in Latvia last year, in Lithuania this past spring, and the project has come to completion in Estonia.
During the project, Tele2 adopted the latest technologies for its mobile network and existing base stations, as well as built 540 new sites.
“We are delighted that our 3.3 million customers in the Baltic countries can enjoy superior mobile broadband,” said Niklas Sonkin, executive vice president for Central Europe and Eurasia at Tele2 AB.
