Tele2 appoints Allison Kirkby as new CEO

Telecom service provider Tele2 AB has appointed Allison Kirkby as the new CEO.

Allison Kirkby succeeds Mats Granryd, who will leave the company to join telecom industry association GSMA as director deneral.

Mats Granryd worked at Tele2 for the last five plus years as its CEO transforming the telecom business — after a successful 15-year stint at mobile infrastructure vendor Ericsson.

Mike Parton, chairman of Tele2, said: “Allison has forged a successful career within the FMCG, media, retail and telecom industries and she has proven at Tele2 that she can drive and manage operational excellence throughout the organization.”
