Taiwan Pavilion at CES 2012 — expand telecom business with Taiwan products

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), a
non-profit trade and investment promotion organization in Taiwan, will
participate with a business delegation in the upcoming CES 2012 in Las Vegas,
USA, to be held from January 10 to 13.

The delegation comprising 22 dynamic companies from
Taiwan will exhibit their latest products in the Taiwan Pavilion at CES 2012.

On behalf of the delegation, TAITRA is providing all the
exhibitors at the show complete on-line marketing services through
TAITRA-administered national trade portal Taiwantrade.

The Taiwanese companies will exhibit their items that
include mobiles and accessories, multimedia players, Pico projector, e-Picture
book reader, LED Display, LCD modules, computer accessories and many others.

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)
said that the event not only provides local enterprises a unique opportunity to
meet with the delegates in person for negotiation on possible business
cooperation, but also serves as an ideal occasion for Taiwan to establish
closer trade ties with United States as well as with other countries within the
region.

At CES 2012,
Telecom equipment major Ericsson will showcase Connected Tree.

Its Twittering Tree senses changes in the electromagnetic
field around it as people pass, and sends Tweets that reflect its mood directly
to its Twitter account, Connected Tree. This tree also reacts to people’s
presence and movements by playing music, speaking and turning on and off
lights.
