T-Mobile USA utilizes iPass open mobile platform for corporate access solution

iPass, a provider of mobility services for both enterprises and service
providers, announced that T-Mobile USA selected the iPass Open Mobile Platform
and the iPass Mobile Network as key pieces in their new T-Mobile Global
Corporate Access (GCA).

The iPass Open Mobile Platform will give customers of T-Mobile’s GCA
solutions both insight and control over definition and management of mobility
services while providing users authenticated and seamless connectivity. These
management features can be accessed by T-Mobile GCA customers from across the
globe over the more than 600,000 domestic and international hotspots that are
part of the iPass Mobile Network.

“Wireless carriers are looking to meet the unique demands of the
mobile workforce to help manage access, security, and seamless movement between
cellular and Wi-Fi networks around the world regardless of whether it’s
connecting a laptop, smartphone or tablet device,” said Kevin Murray, vice
president of product marketing at iPass.

In combination with T-Mobile’s unique Wi-Fi calling features, the new
T-Mobile GCA solution further helps business and government customers enhance
coverage, improve productivity, and reduce domestic and international mobility
costs when accessing available hotspots across the globe.

“Today’s CIOs and IT executives are trying to grow their businesses
while controlling the rising mobility costs incurred by a growing population of
corporate ‘road warriors’ carrying multiple devices,” said Frank
Sickinger, vice president, B2B, MNC and Federal Government Sales at T-Mobile
USA.
