T-Mobile launches Wideband LTE in Miami, offering 50% increase in speeds

American wireless carrier T-Mobile today said it launched Wideband LTE upgrade in Miami, FL, offering up to 50 percent increase in LTE mobile speeds.

In addition to the greater Miami area, LTE customers of T-Mobile in the Ft. Lauderdale and Pompano Beach areas are experiencing better download speeds. In December, T-Mobile’s wireless customers in the Miami area observed download speeds of 75 Mbps.

T-Mobile is offering an average download speed of 20.5 Mbps in the Miami area, while average usage is 2.15 GB of data per month.

Bentley Alexander, regional vice president – South, Engineering at T-Mobile, said: “T-Mobile LTE customers in the area are also going to notice a jump in their mobile speeds, whether downloading the hottest music or Skyping faraway friends and family.”
