Sprint offers $650 in savings to migrate

American telecom service provider Sprint today announced $650 in savings to migrate from your existing mobile operator.

The new offer — Framily Switching Bonus – indicates that the wireless war in the American telecom market will not end shortly. Earlier price war focused on offering more or unlimited data to mobile subscribers. AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile US want more subscribers to consume their high speed 4G network.

Since there will be no consolidation among these four telecom giants, the only option available to them is to attract customers from rivals. The market is also not growing significantly in terms of subscribers.

Sprint, which served more than 55 million customers at the end of 2013, says this is a limited time offer — from April 4 through May 8.

New customers who bring their number to Sprint can receive up to $300 in credit for their current phone and a Visa Prepaid Card worth up to $350 to cover switching fees.

Sprint new tariff plans

Jeff Hallock, chief marketing officer of Sprint, said: “We are seeing great momentum with the Sprint Framily plan, and we want to make it as easy as possible for customers to join our Framily.”

Sprint said the Framily Switching Bonus offer is available to new and current customers bringing a number to Sprint from another postpaid carrier and signing up on a Sprint Framily Plan. Customers will receive credit for their phone trade-in as a part of the initial transaction, said the telecoms.

Approximately 10-12 weeks after initial sign-up, customers who register and submit their final bill from their previous carrier and who are in good standing at the time of payment processing will receive a Visa Prepaid card worth up to $350 to pay back Early Termination Fees or, if not on contract, their remaining Equipment Installment balance.
