American telecom carrier Sprint announced free six-month subscription to Spotify Premium for its Framily plan subscribers.
The mobile carrier said the plan costs upward of $25 a month for up to 10 friends and family members for unlimited talk, text and 1 gigabyte of cellular data.
Spotify Premium, which gives unlimited online and mobile access to 20 million tracks, normally costs $10 a month.
After six months of the free subscription, you need to pay $8 per month to enjoy Spotify Premium if there are up to five people subscribing, or $5 a month if six to 10 people subscribe, for another 18 months. After that the price reverts to normal.
Non-Framily plan members will be offered Spotify Premium for free for three months as well.
In January, AT&T tied up with Beats Music.
Spotify said this is the first association with a telecom carrier in the U.S. Spotify has carrier deals in 23 markets around the world. Spotify has 24 million users worldwide, including more than 6 million paying subscribers. Free users can listen to Spotify with ads and certain playback restrictions.
Along with the offer, Sprint announced an exclusive phone – HTC One (M8) Harman Kardon edition – that would improve audio quality. The device comes bundled with a custom set of Harman Kardon AE-S headphones with extended bass response – priced at $149. It features up to 160GB storage with a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB of storage cards on top of the built-in 32GB.
With Sprint Easy Pay, well-qualified buyers can purchase HTC One (M8) Harman Kardon edition with $0 down (plus tax) and 24 monthly payments of $28.34.

Sprint says the lossless system delivers music that has six times the information of a compact disc and 60 times the information of an MP3.
