Orange reveals main achievements during third quarter

Orange Group CEO Stephane Richard has revealed the main achievements of the company during the third quarter of 2019.
Orange 5G network serviceOrange revenue increased 0.8 percent to 10.577 billion euros driven by 7.6 percent growth in Africa & Middle East and 1.4 percent growth in Europe. Orange has reported revenue drop in France (–0.4 percent) and Spain (–2.5 percent).

Orange has generated revenue of 4.548 billion euros (–0.4 percent) in France, 1.310 billion euros (–2.5 percent) in Spain, 1.446 billion euros (+1.4 percent) in Europe, 1.447 billion euros (+7.6 percent) in Africa & Middle-East and 1.946 billion euros (+1.8 percent) from Enterprise.

Capex

Orange’s third quarter Capex reached 1.724 billion euros. Orange now has 65.3 million 4G customers, 22 million of whom are in Africa & Middle East.

Orange France has 14.6 million connectable lines, registering an increase of 34 percent in the third quarter. Orange France has added 90,000 mobile subscribers and 65,000 connections in fixed broadband business. Orange France has added 178,000 fiber connections.

Orange Spain added 12,000 mobile connections, excluding M2M, and improved the trend in fixed thanks to new football offers.

Orange Europe noted the number of high-speed fixed broadband customers taking convergent services rose by 7 percentage points to 55 percent.

Orange’s Africa & Middle East business unit has over 22 million 4G customers, a 49 percent increase year on year.

Orange CEO Stephane Richard said: “We have also undertaken a number of 5G tests this year in Europe, which gives us confidence in our plans for an imminent launch in Romania and in other European countries throughout next year.”
