Orange Business Services deploys data center for Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation

Telecom Lead India: Orange Business Services has commissioned a state-of-the-art data center for Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL), the state-owned power generating utility in Himachal Pradesh.

The data center, managed by Orange for five years, will facilitate the rollout of SAP applications and services at HPPCL.

 

The infrastructure includes fully equipped high-end computing, network and security solutions.

 

Orange will provide around-the-clock onsite integration, project management and managed services. The provision for a single window helpdesk will also enable the swift resolution of power related issues.

 

This data center deployment is part of the state’s initiative to modernize key sectors such as power generation. This facility will further strengthen HPPCL’s operations and help improve efficiency in delivering power services in the state.

The infrastructure includes fully equipped high-end computing, network and security solutions. In addition to delivering, integrating and managing the data center at HPPCL, Orange will also be commissioning the maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Center located in Chennai.

 

Orange has partnered with APC, CA Technologies and Juniper Networks for this project.

 

Orange Business provides WAN services to European Commission Directorate General Taxation
