The revenue growth of new mobile operators in India was 17 percent in Q1 2011-12 as compared with Q4 2010-11.
Mobile operators’ revenue grew to Rs 1,275.83 crore in Q1 ended June 30, 2011 compared with Rs 1,089.72 crore in Q4 ended March 31, 2011.
New operators (please see the chart below) included Unitech, Sistema Shyam, Loop, Videocon, Quadrant, S Tel and Etisalat.
Leading operators’ revenue grew 4.01 percent to Rs 34,307.71 crore in Q1 ended June 30, 2011 compared with Rs 32,984.07 crore in Q4 ended March 31, 2011.
Leading operators include Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Idea Cellular, BSNL, Reliance Communications, Tata, Aircel and MTNL.
The total revenue increased 4.43 percent from Rs 34073.79 crore from Rs 35583.54 crore.
