MTS India to set up in shop kiosks in 12 Big Bazaar retail stores in Kolkata

Telecom service provider Sistema Shyam TeleServices (MTS India) will set up in shop kiosks in 12 Big Bazaar retail stores at prominent locations across Kolkata.

The locations include Esplanade, Sealdah, Salt lake, Avani Mall, Lilua, VIP, Diamond City North, Birati, Hiland Park, Jadavpur Orbit Mall, Woodsquare and Lake Mall, said MTS India in a statement.

The strategy will assist MTS to improve visibility and connect with customers and reduce cost in promoting its products by setting up its own shops. In addition, the mobile operator is expecting better sales from the increased foot print.

At present, MTS has retail network of over 150 branded retail outlets and service centers and over 40,000 mass retail outlets across West Bengal.

Sandeep Marwaha, chief operating officer, Kolkata and West Bengal Circles, MTS India, said the new initiative is to expand its reach and get closer to customers.
