Movius Interactive innovation: Get additional phone line on mobile without buying another SIM

Telecom Lead Argentina: Movius Interactive, a provider of communications applications, said Movistar Argentina has deployed the service Mi Numero Extra based on the solution myIdentities Deluxe.

The solution allows subscribers to have an additional telephone line on their mobile phone without the need to purchase another SIM card.

By having the advantage of a second line on the same phone, users will be able to easily separate personal calls and messages from those related to their professional life and transfer calls to separate message voice systems at their convenience.  This way, each phone number can be used and billed independently. Additionally, myIdentities Deluxe service users can easily activate or deactivate the service.

Movistar Argentina, member of Telefonica Argentina, has more than 16.8 million customers around the country.

All of Movistar Argentina customers will be able to benefit from myIdentities Deluxe technology from Movius. This product launch is the continuation of a similar service launched by Telefonica Mexico to its customers in November 2011.

Dominic Gomez, Movius President and CEO

“Our solution is now available for a bigger number of Movistar customers as a result of our joint work,” said Dominic Gomez, Movius President and CEO.

“Our myIdentities Deluxe service becomes the most convenient, flexible and secure manner to manage multiple phone lines on the same device, which grants users more freedom and better control over their mobile communications,” Gómez added.

Argentina and Mexico are the first to deploy this solution within an extensive list of countries where Telefónica operates. They are leading the launch of the myIdentities Deluxe service as part of an agreement between Movius and Telefonica International, which covers 13 of Telefonica’s mobile operations in Latin America.
