KDDI America and Plex Systems offer Cloud based ERP solution for manufacturers

KDDI
America, a provider of international IT and telecommunication services,
announced a reseller agreement with Plex Systems. KDDI America will be the
first reseller to offer Plex Online, a cloud based ERP solution that covers the
total manufacturing enterprise.

“Manufacturing
is experiencing significant growth and expansion globally into countries such
as China, Vietnam and India. KDDI America has strong relationships overseas and
a network that spans 170 countries. We offer 13 data centers in Asia alone, so
the ability for KDDI America to offer complementary services such as networking
and data center to new and existing Plex customers make this a good partnership
for us,” said Sandra de Novellis, director of marketing, KDDI America.

With
Plex Online Cloud ERP, manufacturers need only a web browser to securely access
all of the analysis and management functions of a full-featured manufacturing
ERP system with global accessibility.

With
Plex Online, Plex System’s premier Software-as-a-Service ERP, manufacturers are
able to run their business at maximum efficiency. SaaS means no hardware, no
software or the need for costly version upgrades.

The
ability to access the ERP from anywhere on the planet combined with 99.9percent
uptime make the service extremely attractive to manufacturers. Additionally,
Plex provides flexibility in pricing and an all-in-one solution comprising
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM),
Supply Chain Management (SCM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and
Quality Management Systems (QMS).

“Plex
Systems selected KDDI America as its reseller for US companies based on their
strong relationships within the manufacturing industry and also their global
reach,” said Jerry Kelly, director of Global Alliances and Partners, Plex
Systems.

“It’s
a great fit, because KDDI America has a reputation of understanding their
customers’ needs and providing the most possible value to their customers,
which is an integral part of the culture at Plex Systems,” Kelly added.

KDDI
America recently announced the release of the cloud service, KA-Kloud, a comprehensive solution combining network
service, cloud platform, and systems integration in August 2011.

The
solution will provide businesses a smooth transfer to a cloud environment all
while supporting a centralized maintenance environment.
