Idea slashes call tariff at 10p/min in UP West and Uttarakhand

Telecom Lead India: In a move to cement its position in
UP-West and Uttrakhand circle, Idea Cellular has reduced its call rates and
offering a call rate of 10 paise/minute for its subscribers.

Idea cellular is the market leader in UP-West and
Uttrakhand with over 1 crore subscribers. The operator also leads the market in
terms of revenue share and covers 34 thousand villages and towns in the state.

 

The newly announced call rate is available on a special
tariff voucher priced at only Rs.28, which comes with a validity of 30 days.
Idea customers can avail this new call rate between 10pm and 5pm (19 hours of
the day).

 

“Through this new offer we want to acknowledge the
faith our subscribers have shown in making Idea the No. 1 network in UP West
and Uttrakhand. We are sure that our customers would appreciate the new product
offer on the widest coverage network in the circle,” said N.F. Aibara, chief
operating officer-UP West, Idea Cellular.

 

The operator said that it is providing its customers with
various opportunities, through varied Value added services (VAS), new product
offerings and other marketing platforms.

 

Idea Cellular revenue up 25.8% to Rs 19,541 crore in 2011-12

 

Recently, Idea Cellular posted 25.8 percent increase in
revenue during 2011-12 at Rs 19,541 crore from Rs 15,503 crore in
2010-11. Idea Cellular’s Q4 revenues increased 6.74 percent to Rs 5,370
crore from Rs 5,031 crore in the third quarter.
